WITH DSTV DECODER AND CABLE MODEM
This post is on free internet or DSTV internet with the use of a cable modem.
The most recent twist to free internet in Nigeria is DSTV internet with DSTV decoder and cable modem for free and watch satellite T.V simultaneously.
Since the advent of free internet in nigeria, Nigerians have been looking for ways to surf the internet without hasssles either by subscriptions through network providers (like mtn, zain, glo, etisalat, starcomms) or through broadband, or dial up connections.
This blog post shows the step by step method of free internet with DSTV popularly called dstv internet with a cable modem while still using it to watch T.V.
Basically, the materials needed are:
• LINKSYS CABLE MODEM

• SPLITTER
• RJ 45 NIC Cable
• ETHERNET CABLE
• Router
• DECODER
• COAXIAL CABLES
To set it up, take the following steps:
1) CONNET SPLITER WITH DECODER CO AXIAL HOLE
2)CONNECT OTHER SIDE OF SPLITER TO CABLE MODEM
3)CONNECT MODEM JACK TO SYSTEM
4)SWITH ON THE WHOLE CONTRAPTION-(the system will identify the network)
5)CONFIGURE BROWSER WITH 127.0.0.1:8080 OR (NO PROXY, AUTO DETECT)
Thats all.

ReplyDeleteAm sorry to ask are u sure dstv server is a bi-direction ie it can send and recive note am note talking about dstv decoder bcos 4 internet to work their server i mean the dsl cable modem they use to connect to internet in order to beam it out is what am talking about and pls have u tried it?
